SolidProfessor offers LTI integration for both Blackboard Ultra and Blackboard Original.
What you will need before starting:
- Blackboard admin access with LTI Tool Providers privileges.
- LTI Tool Providers>Global Properties: "Allow links to any tool provider that isn't explicitly excluded" and "Allow configured tool providers to post grades" must be allowed.
- A decision on your integration type: Anonymous (students launch directly, no login required) or Known (students are matched by name and email). If you are unsure, please reach out to support@solidprofessor.com, before proceeding.

The Instructor will need to enter these values into their SolidProfessor Instructor Tools. Instructions for those steps are here.
You can choose any value for this ID. If your school is named North Campus High School, you might choose "NorthCampus" or "NorthHS", as demonstrated below. Capture this value, and include it with the two values above for the Instructor to input into their SolidProfessor Instructor Tools.

- Forknown (unmasked):Role in Course, Name, Email must be checked.
- Foranonymous (masked):leave all three user details un-checked.

- Allow grade service access:Yes(required for grade passback).
- Allow Membership Service Access: Yes (required)
You may now pass off the three unique values you captured to the Instructor, (Client ID, Default Deployment ID and the Tool Provider Custom Parameter) and have them complete the steps in the next article: LTI 1.3: Blackboard Set Up for Instructors
