Some instructors may opt to return to utilizing SolidProfessor by itself, without the integration of a previously connected LMS. The process of disconnecting from an LMS is quite easy. As an instructor, simply log in to SolidProfessor with your email and password. Classes can be set up, students added, and grades and progress can be viewed all within the SolidProfessor website.
It is important to double check that none of your syllabus in the LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.) is connected to SolidProfessor going forward.
Directions for Students
Students should be directed to the SolidProfessor website, where they can log in with their email and password.
Students may need to reset their password when logging into SolidProfessor outside of the LMS for the first time. You can Reset a Student's Password from your Instructor Tools. If they do not receive the Password Reset email, simply have them follow the link provided.
- Returning students will have all of their progress continue with their established accounts
- Masked (anonymous) students will not be able to revert - they will need to create new accounts
- New students can enroll as normal
Note: If they were previously connected to an LMS, they will not be able to see the "Classes" button at the top of the screen. They are able to access their classes, explore the course library and view their test results from the "Things to do..." section of their Dashboard.
