With our new bulk upload feature, Client Admins and Managers can easily add multiple users to SolidProfessor at once. See the video and article below for steps on how to use this new tool.
How to Bulk Upload Users
Use the provided link on the Bulk Upload page to download a CSV template. This template includes headers for required and optional fields, with placeholder text for easy reference.
2. Prepare the CSV File
Fill in the template with your user data, ensuring all required fields are populated:
- First Name (Required): Accepts alphabetic characters, hyphens, apostrophes, and international characters. Max length: 50.
- Last Name (Required): Accepts alphabetic characters, hyphens, apostrophes, and international characters. Max length: 100.
- Email (Required): Must be in a valid email format and unique across the platform. Max length: 255.
- Phone (Optional): Accepts up to 15 characters, including special characters.
- Role (Required): Acceptable values: Learner, Manager, and Client Admin.
Ensure the file does not exceed 3MB and is in .CSV format.
3. Upload the CSV File
After filling the user information in the CSV file, return to your Admin Tools then attach and upload the completed file. The system will notify you of the upload status.
4. Notifications
Error notifications will provide you with a detailed report for troubleshooting.
If the number of users uploaded exceeds the seat limit, or the company has no seats, users are created as inactive. When seats are added to the company, users are activated in the order they were uploaded.
Note that if you attempt to upload a user who has previously created a SolidProfessor account under the same email address, you'll receive an error message. In this instance, please reach out to support@solidprofessor.com for assistance - we're happy to help!
